  • Explain your reasons for believing the work is unsafe
  • Request that the work be made safe

Your employer cannot retaliate against you for exercising your right to refuse unsafe work. This means that your employer cannot fire you, demote you, or otherwise discriminate against you because you refused to perform unsafe work.
